ATAL Named Caring Company for 16 Consecutive Years

安樂工程連續十六年獲｢商界展關懷｣嘉許

ATAL Engineering Limited has been awarded the Caring Company Logo for the 16th consecutive year by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) under the Caring Company Scheme, in recognition of our commitment to carrying out corporate social responsibilities and giving back to the community.

Ir Dr Otto Poon, Chairman of ATAL Engineering Group, said, “We are delighted to be named a Caring Company for 16 years in a row. We will continue to step up our performance in sustainability and engagement with our staff and the community.”

As a pioneer of environmental engineering in Hong Kong, ATAL has been a staunch advocate of environmental protection ever since the 1970s. The Group has not only participated in a number of cutting-edge environmental engineering projects including water, wastewater treatment plants and organic resources recovery works, but also applied new technologies such as Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), Multi-Trade integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MiMEP) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance project efficiency, quality and worker safety while reducing material wastage.

As a caring employer, we aim to create a people-centric workplace. A rich array of internal communications channels and programmes are in place to foster information flow and staff welfare, together with various award schemes to recognise outstanding staff performance, and sports and recreational activities to promote work-life balance.

Talent development is another priority at ATAL, with our Training and Development unit set up to oversee all staff training programmes and cultivate a continuous learning culture. Safety and health at work are reinforced by our Occupational Health and Safety Management standard, with a people-oriented approach including the adoption of new technology solutions to enhance worksite safety and anti-COVID-19 measures to minimise the risk of infection at work.

To give back to the community, ATAL has a long tradition of staff volunteering services for the underprivileged via collaboration with our long-term community partners. Every year we contribute through monetary donations, staff volunteer services and enthusiastic participation in charitable and fund-raising sports events to support the needy.

This year marks the 16th consecutive year in which ATAL Engineering Limited receives the “Caring Company Logo” from the HKCSS. It is testimony to our long-term commitment and efforts in community investment
