About the Role:

We are looking for a highly hands-on and solutions-oriented Technical Engineer to support government projects. The role involves providing technical advice on IoT, AI initiatives and Digital Twins applications for water treatment and sewage plants, as well as presenting project outcomes and proposals to government and public sector stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical advice and support to the PoC initiatives and ongoing projects, ensuring solutions meet technical specifications, timeline, and budget requirements.
• Partner with business development manager to develop business opportunities by providing technical expertise through presentations, solution designs, technical proposals, solution demonstrations, and proof of concept tests.
• Suggest and implement suitable industrial sensors (e.g., pressure, vibration & temperature, water quality, image/camera, and level sensors) that connect to local PLCs or edge gateways using robust wired industrial protocols.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients, understanding their production pain points and analyse client requirements, presenting solution proposals, and ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Align with various implementation teams to articulate client requirements, solution design considerations, and details, facilitating a smooth transition from presales to project delivery.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, system specifications, and project reports.
• Stay at the forefront of AI, Robotics, and automation technology trends, driving continuous innovation.
• Liaise with vendors or suppliers to ensure key milestones are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in AI, Robotics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IoT, systems engineering, or related fields, with exposure to government or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AI, Digital Twins, robotics, and automation technologies, with proven ability to design and implement solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in integrating and deploying industrial sensors (pressure, vibration/temperature, water quality, imaging, and level) with integration to PLCs or edge gateways via reliable wired protocols.
• Proven track record in preparing or contributing to the development of high-quality technical proposals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage proof-of-concepts and ongoing projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience liaising with government, public sector stakeholders, and vendors.
• Highly analytical and solutions-oriented, capable of understanding client pain points and translating them into effective technical proposals.
• Knowledge in IOT network and security software.
• Proven track record in-charge or assist in designing and implementing intelligent automation systems deployed in production environments.
• Self-motivated, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
