China Unicom (Hong Kong) Global Centre
ATAL provided design, supply, installation, and testing and commissioning of building service and management systems for a major state-owned telecommunications company. Completed in August 2016, the cloud data centre in Tseung Kwan O is China Unicom’s largest and most advanced facility outside mainland China up to 2018 and is part of Hong Kong’s transformation into a regional hub for Internet data services. A data centre is a secure, temperature-controlled facility designed to house large-capacity servers and enterprise data storage systems. Data centres need multiple power sources for redundancy and multiple high-bandwidth connections to the Internet. With 4,000 data racks and Tier III+ service level, China Unicom is able to connect seamlessly with global networks. ATAL’s expertise is keeping the 14,900 sqm facility running.
