Technical Manager – Data Centre Projects
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, enhance and optimize the network infrastructure in Data Centre Projects.
- Advice to develop and implement IT disaster recovery strategy to protect IT infrastructure and minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a disaster.
- Assist the operation teams to perform periodic file maintenance and data backup for all system.
- As a lead to train operations team for the Facilities operations procedure to achieve target SLA.
- Support the operations team to provide first-line support to end users, answer enquiries and resolving technical issues.
- Implement and manage energy / cost-saving initiatives in the Data Centre.
- Attend meetings arranged by the government or stakeholders related to operation and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Experienced in data centre facility, IT Infrastructure/ Operations and network fault recovery, etc will be an advantage.
- A degree in Building Services or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or building related disciplines. Professional qualification of relevant disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is preferred (e.g. HKIE, CIBSE, RICS, HKIS, IFMA, IMechE & IEE).
- A minimum of 10 years of facilities or property experience of which at least five years in managerial level and be conversant with building, building services, mechanical and electrical engineering technology.
- Outstanding technical skills and experience in leading/managing complex building operations, maintenance and assets upkeep.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Technical Manager.
- High proficiency of both spoken and written English.
