Senior Quantity Surveyor (REF: SPS/SQS)
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the tendering process.
- Provide general QS practice to the project team.
- Pivotal in managing financial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
- Ensure project deliverables are met within contractual frameworks.
- Lead cost management, handle contractual issues, manage interim payments, and oversee the resolution of claims and final accounts.
- Assist in assessing subcontractors payment application.
- Prepare payment applications and invoices.
- Prepare and update Variation & Claim status on a regular basis.
- Measure completed or non-completed works on site or drawings to make valuation when necessary.
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
- NEC4 Accreditation, MHKIS or similar certification preferred.
- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in experience in E&M project, with demonstrated expertise in project delivery.
Advanced skills in negotiation with Main Contractor and Vendor. - Comprehensive knowledge of construction laws and contractual terms.
- Proven ability in both traditional and NEC contractual procedure.
- Experienced in handling final account settlements and managing claims effectively.
- Proficient in managing Variation Orders (VO) and adept at navigating changes in project scope and costs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Quantity Surveyor
