Career Development Programmes

ATAL offers a wide range of career opportunities for young engineering graduates to become all-round professionals. We provide Graduate Training and Apprenticeship Programme such as the HKIE Scheme ‘A’ Programme and the Apprenticeship Training Programme. In addition, we sponsor external training courses to ensure continuous professional development.

HKIE Scheme ‘A’ Programme for Graduate Trainee

  • Nurturing young engineers is very important to our business and every year, ATAL recruits a number of high calibre engineering graduates for the position of Graduate Trainee.
  • Applicants should possess a Degree in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering;
  • Successful candidates will go through a two to three-year Scheme ‘A’ Training Programme accredited by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).  Each Graduate Trainee will be assigned an engineering supervisor who will provide regular coaching and guidance; 
  • Job rotation will also be arranged to enable the trainees to gain an all-round exposure in various disciplines and functions of a job and; 
  • In addition, external training courses are sponsored to ensure continuous professional development.

Apprenticeship Programme

  • The apprenticeship programme targets graduates who are studying the Diploma in Vocational Education offered by the Vocational Training Council. It aims to train up a batch of multi-skilled technical staff;
  • Successful candidates will be offered for the position of either Technician Apprentice or Craft Apprentice and go through a three to four-year Apprenticeship Training Programme with us. During the training period, our apprentices will be enrolled in the relevant Part-time Day Release courses offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) and;
  • To ensure effective learning of practical skills, ATAL’s apprenticeship training incorporates a mentoring system into the regular in-house workshop training and trade tests. Such objective training provides apprentices with an opportunity to work in certain operations within our Service Department so as to get them ready for future employment. 

Part-Time Degree Sponsorship Programme

  • This programme aims to promote a life-long learning culture in the Group. Employees are encouraged to take part-time training courses to continuously develop their skills and raise their standards of service and competence.
  • We encourage diploma holders to pursue undergraduate engineering degree programmes and become professional engineers.
  • Sponsorship on tuition fee will be offered to potential staff.
